Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or playing World Stories, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. Description of Service

World Stories is a free-to-play, browser-based fantasy RPG featuring AI-generated avatars, NPC dialogue, and story content. Features are still being built — the game you see today will keep changing, and we may add, modify, or remove features at any time.

3. Your Account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account. Let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use character names, backstories, reference photos, or messages to us that are illegal, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit involving minors
• Attempt to exploit bugs or vulnerabilities to gain an unfair advantage or disrupt the service for others
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or use automated tools against the service outside of normal play
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone

We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these rules.

5. AI-Generated Content

Avatars, NPC dialogue, and scene narration are generated by AI. AI output can be inconsistent, inaccurate, or occasionally produce something unexpected despite our efforts to guide it. You should use your own judgment about in-world content, and report anything that seems broken or inappropriate via the Help page.

6. Your Content

You retain rights to the character details and reference photos you provide. By submitting them, you grant us a license to use, store, and process them solely to operate and improve World Stories (for example, generating your avatar). Don't upload a photo or write content you don't have the right to share.

7. Intellectual Property

The World Stories name, world setting, lore, and underlying software are owned by us. Nothing in these terms transfers that ownership to you.

8. Service Provided "As Is"

World Stories is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time — this is a project we're actively building.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of World Stories.

10. Termination

You may stop using World Stories at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the game evolves. We'll update the date above when we do. Continuing to use World Stories after a change means you accept the updated terms.
